Bhadrak, Dec 26: A unique way of looting money from an ATM was committed at Rajghat Square in Bhadrak district today.
According to the information, after people entered their PINs to withdraw money from the ATM, entered amounts were deducted from their bank accounts but money didn't come out from the machine.
"I noticed some paper balls stacked in the door and adhesive tape was used to keep the door closed. I removed them and opened the door only to find a plate fixed on the outlet of the cash box," said Debasish Mohanty, an ATM user.
A few more locals also complained of facing the same issue.

Some miscreants had tampered with the ATM and put a plate so that money would drop down inside the door. This was done to obstruct the money from coming out.
Locals gathered and demanded an investigation into the matter. They also demanded a security guard stationed at the ATM.
