Basudevpur, Sep 18: The body of a minor girl, who was abducted from outside of her house at Basudevpur area in Bhadrak district six days ago, was recovered from a canal.
According to reports, the child’s body was found approximately 300 meters away from her residence, in a canal.
On being informed, police along with the ODRAF (Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force) team reached the spot and recovered the body. The body was seized and sent to a local hospital for post-mortem report.
While a full-scale investigation is underway, the Chandamani Marine Police and district officials are working to determine how the girl ended up in the canal and whether foul play was involved or not.

Notably, the incident occured on September 13 when some unidentified miscreants forcibly took away the 8-year-old girl from outside of her residence.
