Berhampur, Jan 11: An untoward situation during a picnic led to a firing, injuring three, one of them critically, in Gareijhuli village of Kendubadi Gram Panchayat under Polsara police station limits in Ganjam district late on Wednesday night. 

The critically injured has been identified as Panchayat Samiti member Narendra Swain. His brother was also injured. 

The exact reason behind the heated argument is unknown.
