Bargarh/Sambalpur, Mar 24: A youth has been arrested for allegedly killing his lover in a forest near Sambalpur in Odisha.

The tragic incident came to light when the decomposed body of a young woman, reportedly a minor, was recovered from the forest near the Hirakud reservoir.

The victim, a minor from Bargarh, had reportedly gone missing on March 18 after leaving home with her mobile phone and Rs 15,000. The police have arrested her boyfriend and his accomplice, who are suspected to be involved in the murder.

The accused, reportedly from the Atabira police station area, are in custody, and the police plan to conduct a scene recreation Monday as part of the investigation.
