Puri, Aug 21: The Banakalagi Niti ritual of Srimandir deities will be conducted today, for which darshan will remain closed for four hours from 5 PM to 9 PM.
According to the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA), the ritual will be performed after the second 'Bhoga Mandap'. During this period, no visitors will be allowed for the darshan of Lord Jagannath.
As per traditions, Datta Mohapatra Servitors Will make up Lord Balabhadra, Goddess Subhadra and Lord Jagannath with natural herbal colours like green, red, saffron, black and white in the Banakalagi Niti, which is also known as "Mukha Sringar" (Face Make-Up).

✨After the ritual's completion, the Holy Trinity will be given a ceremonial bath, also known as 'Maha Snana', after which the door of the Shreendir will open for devotees.
