Balasore Self-Immolation Case: FM College Victim Passes Away

Bhubaneswar, Jul 15: In a deeply tragic turn of events, the 20-year-old student from Balasore Fakir Mohan Autonomous College, passed away after battling for her life for three days at AIIMS Bhubaneswar.

 

The victim had reportedly attempted suicide following alleged mental harassment by the college administration. She was admitted to AIIMS Bhubaneswar in critical condition, where a team of doctors tried to save her life. Unfortunately, she was declared dead late Monday night after her condition worsened.

After the post-mortem, her mortal remains were handed over to her grieving family. The incident drew immediate attention from political leaders, including Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida, Minister Rabi Narayan Naik, BJP MLAs Babu Singh, Akash Das Nayak, Irasis Acharya, and Tankadhar Tripathy, who visited the hospital and expressed their condolences.
