Balasore: Coal-Laden Freight Train Catches Fire

Balasore, Mar 25: As many as four bogie of a coal-laden goods train, which was on its way to West Mednipore from Paradip in Odisha, caught fire near Markona in Balasore district late last night.
As per reports, the goods train was heading towards Soro station when the Station Master saw smoke emanating from one of the bogies near Markona. The station master soon alert the railway officials following which the train stopped at Soro station.
On being informed, firefighters were pressed in service to douse the flame.
While the exact reason behind the fire is still unknown, the railway authorities have initiated a probe into the incident.
