Balasore, Jan 11: Unidentified miscreants looted away lakhs of rupees from two ATMs at two separate places in Balasore district late on Wednesday night.
In the first incident, miscreants cup open an ATM of the Axis Bank with a gas at Khaira. In the second such, looters cut open an ATM of the Punjab National Bank at Mangalpur under Soro police station limits.
As per reports, about six miscreants barged into the two ATMs and stole cash cutting the machine using gas cutter. They decamped with over Rs 20 lakhs from the two ATMs. After looting, they set the twi ATMs on fire to destroy the evidence.
