Balanga Victim Undergoes Skin Grafting Surgery At AIIMS Delhi

New Delhi, July 24: The minor girl from Odisha’s Puri district, who sustained severe burn injuries in a brutal attack, underwent skin grafting surgery at AIIMS Delhi on Thursday.
The procedure was carried under the supervision of Dr. Manish Singhal, Head of the Department of Burn & Plastic Surgery.
According to the family members, the victim was taken to the operation theatre at 10 AM, and the procedure is expected to last 5 to 6 hours.
The surgery, which was initially decided to carried on Wednesday, got postponed after the girl developed a mild fever.
On the other hand, a two-member team from the Odisha Crime Branch arrived at AIIMS Delhi to meet the victim.
Family members also confirmed the development, stating that her statement may be recorded once her condition improves. The investigation team is expected to coordinate with medical staff to ensure the process is handled sensitively.
