New Delhi, Jul 20: The minor girl from Odisha’s Puri district, who sustained 75% burn injuries in a brutal attack, has been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Burns and Plastic Surgery Block at AIIMS Delhi.

The treatment began immediately soon after her arrival, with doctors placing her under oxygen support and 48-hour observation.

The victim was airlifted from AIIMS Bhubaneswar on Sunday via a specially arranged air ambulance, accompanied by a medical team and family members.

A green corridor was also created to facilitate her swift transfer from the hospital to Biju Patnaik International Airport.

Delhi Police have implemented tight security arrangements at the hospital’s entry and exit gates to ensure the safety of the patient and medical personnel.

The move comes amid heightened public attention and ongoing protests in Odisha demanding justice for the victim.
