Puri, Jul 5: Lord Jagannath, accompanied by his siblings Lord Balabhadra and Goddess Subhadra will began the return journey from the Gundicha Temple to the Shree Mandir today. Known as Bahuda Yatra, this return procession marks the concluding phase of the world-famous Rath Yatra.
After spending nine auspicious days at their maternal aunt's abode, the deities will soon begin their procession along the Bada Danda (Grand Road) in their majestic chariots—Nandighosa, Taladhwaja, and Darpadalana.
To avoid any untoward situation, security arrangements and healthcare provisions have been fortified throughout the Grand Road to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the massive crowd.
Devotees lined the Grand Road (Bada Danda) with chants, music, and vibrant rituals, creating a spiritually charged atmosphere.
Tomorrow, the rituals of Suna Besha—where the deities are adorned in gold ornaments—will further elevate the celebrations before they are ceremonially returned to the sanctum sanctorum of the Srimandir.
