Berhampur, May 20: In a tragic mishap, a woman was killed and four others sustained critical injuries as an auto-rickshaw, in which they were travelling, overturned on the roadside at Budhighata under the Berhampur Sadar police station in Ganjam district early Tuesday morning.

The injured have been admitted to the MKCG Medical College and Hospital, Berhampur.

According to the information, some labourers were going by auto-rickshaw from Kukudakhandi to Behrampur when the mishap occurred near the Budighara temple. The driver was also injured.

Following the incident, locals blocked the National Highway, disrupting vehicular movement for some time. However, they cleared the road after the police assured them of appropriate action.
