Balasore, Jun 24: Three girls student of Arjunpur Adarsha Vidyalaya sustained injuries when an auto-rickshaw carrying them overturned near Paduna Square on the Bartana-Khaira road under Khaira Police Station limits.

According to reports, the incident occurred when the auto was transporting the students to the school when a bicycle suddenly veered onto the road, causing the driver to lose control. As a result, the auto flipped on the roadside, injuring three girl students.

Locals immediately rushed the spot and rescued the victims to nearby hospital.

The injured girls are reportedly from the Haripur area. Though the injuries are said to be non-life-threatening, the incident has once again raised concerns over the safety of school transport and narrow rural roads.
