Cuttack, Aug 9: The Odisha Vigilance Thursday arrested Pradeep Kumar Sahu,  Block Development officer (BDO) of Cuttack district's Athagarh block on the charge of possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income. 

He will be forwarded to court later in the day, informed the Vigilance. 

During searches, Sahu was found in possession of disproportionate assets including two buildings, one flat in Bhubaneswar, three plots, deposits over Rs 47 lakhs, cash of Rs 6.11 lakhs, gold ornaments approx 452 gms, two four wheelers etc, which he could not account for satisfactorily. 

The investigation was on, informed the Vigilance.
