Keonjhar, Jul 10: The Ghatagaon Tarini Temple in Keonjhar will remain shut for the devotees till 7pm today in observance of the annual Ashadhi Parba, a sacred festival celebrated on the last Thursday of the Odia month of Ashadha.
As per temple authorities, darshan of the goddess will be allowed from 7 PM to 10 PM, following the completion of special rituals and fasting observed by the deity herself—a tradition rooted in centuries-old legend.
During this time, devotees will witness Maa Tarini adorned in her golden attire (Suna Besha), a rare and spiritually significant sight.
Ashadhi Parba is marked by prayers for prosperity and good harvest, and draws thousands of pilgrims from across Odisha and beyond. The temple premises are expected to see a surge in visitors during the evening hours.
