Bhubaneswar, Jul 12: In a dramatic turn of events, Archana Nag, the central figure in a high-profile extortion and honeytrap case, has made serious allegations against several senior leaders of the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) and police officials.
In a written complaint submitted to the Chief Minister’s grievance cell, Archana claimed that she was falsely implicated and subjected to mental and physical torture.
Archana alleged that she was placed under house arrest on October 4, followed by her formal arrest on October 6. She stated that she came to know about the fabricated charges and the individuals behind them only on October 10.
According to her, the masterminds of the conspiracy include BJD’s organisational secretary Pranab Prakash Das (aka Bobby Das), Amaresh Jena, Manas Mangaraj, and several police officials including former DCP Prateek Singh, ACP Prakash Pal, and Balipatna IIC Anup Kanungo.

She further claimed that her CCTV hard disk was destroyed, and she was tortured inside jail, where she was allegedly given injections and forced medication. Archana also accused jail staff of being bribed by police to isolate her and prevent her from meeting other inmates. She said she was coerced into admitting she was mentally unstable and pressured to leave the state.
In a shocking revelation, Archana named Sraddhanjali Behera, stating that she was forced to file a complaint against her in exchange for money. Archana has released call recordings to support her claims and has demanded a fair investigation into the matter.
These allegations, if proven true, could have serious implications for the political and law enforcement landscape in Odisha. The matter is expected to trigger widespread debate.
