Angul, Jan 10: The pollution level in Angul seem to have crossed the danger mark which raises concern. The Air Quality Index (AIQ) was at 352 on Monday and was 357 on Tuesday.

According to reports, every year in winter the air of Angul is filled with toxic dust particles. The air pollution level in Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Balasore and Baripada are also high.

However, the main cause of pollution in Angul is coal burning and transportation. There are also thermal power plants and power generation projects. Due to which, pollution is increasing in the atmosphere with toxic smoke and dust particles.
