Bhubaneswar, Sep 16: The Housing & Urban Development (H&UD) Department of Odisha has rolled out comprehensive plans to implement the Angikaar–2025 campaign under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Urban (PMAY-U 2.0), officials said on Tuesday.

The initiative, active nationwide until 31st October 2025, aims to fast-track housing delivery and integrate welfare schemes for urban beneficiaries.

Usha Padhee, Principal Secretary of the H&UD Department, has directed all district Collectors to organize anchor events and ward-level outreach activities. The campaign will kick off with PMAY-U Awas Diwas on 17th September, marked by the PM Awas Mela – Shehri (Phase–I) at the district level. A second phase of the mela will be held between 16th and 31st October.

Between 17th September and 16th October, ward-level camps will be conducted across all Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) to raise awareness and facilitate enrolment. The campaign also promotes housing loans through banks and educates beneficiaries about the Interest Subsidy Scheme (ISS).
