Jammu, May 30: Union Home Minister Amit Shah is currently on a two-day visit to Jammu & Kashmir. On the second day of his visit, Shah is scheduled to meet families affected by Pakistani shelling in Poonch.

Yesterday, Shah held a high-level security meeting at Raj Bhawan, where he discussed the security situation with Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, senior police officials, intelligence agencies, and administrative officers. The meeting lasted for over one and a half hours, focusing on anti-terror operations and security measures for the upcoming Amarnath Yatra.

Today, Shah will travel to Poonch, where he will meet families impacted by cross-border shelling and review security arrangements. He is also expected to visit damaged religious sites, inspect BSF camps, and interact with security personnel.

Security has been tightened across the region in light of the Home Minister’s visit.
