Dharmasala, May 24: A tragic accident occurred near Rathia Chhak on National Highway 16 under Dharmasala police limits, Odisha, claimed the life of an attendant of the ambulance. Two others also sustained injured in the accident.

The deceased has been identified as Achyutananda Barik of Madhupur in Baulang area.

According to reports, the accident occurred when the emergency service was returning to Dasarathpur after dropping a patient in Cuttack at around 2 AM.

The impact of the accident was so intense that the front part of the vehicle was totally damaged.

While Achyutananda's body was seized and sent to Dharmasala Hospital, two others who were injured in the crash have been admitted to Cuttack’s SCB Medical College and Hospital for treatment.

Local police have initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident.
