Puri, May 14: A pregnant woman had a narrow escape after the ambulance, she was being transported, rammed into a house near Shukla Chhak in Puri district on Wednesday.

According to reports, the victim, Mamata Khuntia, was being transported from Kanas to Puri when the driver of the ambulance lost control over the wheels and rammed the vehicle into a roadside house.

Following the incident, the driver and pharmacist onboard sustained injuries. However, Mamata was safe with minor injuries.

Soon after the incident, another emergency vehicle was dispatched to the spot and the woman was transferred safely to Puri for further medical care.

Later, locals gathered at the scene, assisting in rescue operations while authorities initiated investigations to determine the exact cause of the mishap.
