Khordha, Aug 21: Around 20 passengers had a narrow escape, after the 'Ama Bus', they were travelling in, caught fire near Panch Paika on National Highway 16.

According to reports, the bus carrying around 20 passengers was enroute to Khordha from Cuttack when sudden blaze erupted in the vehicle’s electrical system. Soon, the fire department officials were alerted, who then rushed to the spot and douse the flames.

Fortunately, all passengers on board were safely evacuated, and no injuries have been reported.

Reportedly, authorities are investigating the cause of the short circuit and have assured that safety checks will be intensified across the Mo Bus fleet to prevent similar incidents in the future.
