Bhubaneswar, Sep 21: An all-party meeting of the Odisha Legislative Assembly is scheduled to be held today ahead of the Monsoon Session, which begins on Tuesday and continues until October 3.
The meeting, chaired by the Speaker at 11.30 am, is aimed at ensuring the smooth functioning of the House during the session. The Speaker is expected to hold discussions with leaders of various political parties and seek their cooperation in conducting the proceedings.
The nine-working-day session is expected to witness heated exchanges, with the Opposition preparing to raise several issues against the BJP government.

The Congress Legislature Party is scheduled to meet on Tuesday morning to finalise its approach.

The ruling BJP is also preparing its strategy for the session. Its Legislature Party meeting is scheduled for Monday to discuss the issues likely to be raised by the Opposition and formulate its response.
