Bhubaneswar, Dec 9: Union Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Saturday expressed concern over the seizure of hundreds of crores of rupees accumulated by liquor traders by evading taxes.
"The news of hundreds of crores of rupees being seized in Odisha has surprised me. It is a matter of concern that such a large amount of black money has been seized at a point in time from a State like Odisha during raids by Central agencies. Some people from Odisha, West Bengal, and Jharkhand states have links with this money, according to the Media," Pradhan wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
He mentioned that people have suspected the involvement of leaders of a political party, who are talking much about morality, in view of their silence.
"Where is the root from where wealth was sourced? What is the truth of the matter? Are some people of Odisha linked to the seized black money? Why people who always claim to be honest are silent on this matter? Due to the silence of the leaders of some political parties who talk about ethics, doubts have been created in the minds of the general public," wrote Pradhan.

✨Pradhan contended that the people of Odisha trust Narendra Modi's guarantees. "The Modi Government doesn't allow corruption to happen. All looted public money will be recovered one by one by the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi," he asserted.
He said the Modi government also guarantees stringent action against the public money looters.
