Bhubaneswar, Nov 7: All India Institute of Medical Sciences
(AIIMS) Bhubaneswar on Friday joined the nationwide celebration of the 150th
anniversary of India’s National Song, “Vande Mataram,” with a heartfelt tribute
on its campus, officials said.
The event featured a synchronized rendition of the iconic
song by Executive Director Dr. Ashutosh Biswas, faculty members, and staff,
marking a moment of unity and reverence.
Dr. Biswas paid glowing homage to Bankim Chandra
Chattopadhyaya, the author of “Vande Mataram,” calling the song a timeless
masterpiece that continues to ignite patriotism and bind the nation together.
“We should embrace the greatness of the song, which binds us together on this
auspicious occasion,” he remarked.
The celebration saw enthusiastic participation from
dignitaries including Dr. Dillip Kumar Parida, Medical Superintendent; Lt. Col.
Abhijit Sarkar, DDA; Dr. Sudiptra Ranjan Singh, Registrar; R. Toppo, SE; Raj
Kumar Sharma; and Dibya Ranjan Pattnaik. Faculty members and staff joined in
the musical tribute, reflecting the institute’s commitment to national pride
and cultural heritage.
