"Such a compressed biogas plant scheme will solve the problem of waste in the city. The residents of the city will get rid of the stinking environment due to the setting up of large dumping yards and micro compost plants to dump waste inside the city," the Minister said.

The Minister said similar biogas plants will be set up in other cities of the state. The gas that will come out of this biogas plant will be used as fuel by the common people. It will be supplied through the Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL) pipeline, the Minister added.
