Bhubaneswar, Aug 6: In a strategic push toward resilient and inclusive urban transformation, MIO Oka, Country Director of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), called on Usha Padhee, Principal Secretary of the Housing & Urban Development (H&UD) Department, Government of Odisha, at Kharavela Bhawan here on Wednesday.


The meeting highlighted key areas of collaboration in urban mobility planning and enhancing livable city initiatives across the state.


Central to the dialogue was the development of a comprehensive Urban Mobility Plan, designed to foster sustainable city growth, streamline public transport, and improve the overall quality of life in urban Odisha.


ADB expressed readiness to extend technical support and assist the state in accessing the Urban Challenge Fund of the Government of India—an important financial mechanism supporting innovative city-level reforms.
