Dhenkanal, Feb 15: As many as five students were injured as a school van overturned near Kunturu village under Parajang police station in Dhenkanal district this forenoon. 

The van, carrying three girls and two boys, was on its way from Kanturu village to the Barhihapur Adarsha Vidyalaya when the mishap occurred.  The driver got baffled and applied brake to wheels all of a suddent as a speeding motorcycle approached his vehile on a turning. The van overturned due to sudden braking.  

However, the driver woke up to rescue the students and rushed them to the Parjang Community Health Centre (CHC).

All students were later discharged from the hostel after treatment, said Block Education Officer Harihar Dehuri.
