Bhubaneswar, Nov 17: The Atmanirbhar Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan has gained momentum in Odisha, with BJP state president Manmohan Samal describing it as a pledge for the entire society and nation. He emphasised the importance of promoting local products, aligning with the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat.
State-Level Initiatives
At a review meeting held at BJP’s state headquarters here on Monday, Samal said that the campaign is not merely political but a social pledge. He urged party workers to motivate citizens to adopt swadeshi products and actively participate in awareness drives.
Planned activities include constituency‑level conferences involving women, youth, business leaders, and professionals to spread the message of self‑reliance. Swadeshi melas will showcase locally produced goods, while schools and colleges will host pledge‑taking ceremonies to instill values of self‑reliance among students.
Awareness campaigns will also be conducted through
Atmanirbhar Bharat raths and padyatras, taking the message directly to
communities. Additionally, door‑to‑door outreach programs will
encourage households to adopt indigenous goods.

A 90-Day Nationwide Drive

✨The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has rolled out the three-month-long campaign from September 25 to December 25, 2025, coinciding with the birth anniversaries of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya and former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Over this 90‑day period, a wide range of programs are being organized to encourage the use of indigenous products and reduce reliance on foreign goods.
Inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of self‑reliance, the campaign is being described by party leaders as India’s “second economic freedom struggle.”
Collective Resolve
Towards Developed India 2047 Samal called upon workers to ensure the success of the campaign to achieve the national goal of a Developed India by 2047. Samal urged party workers to ensure the success of these initiatives, stressing that widespread participation is crucial for realizing the 2047 vision of a developed India.
The campaign has also drawn support from several voluntary organizations, signaling a broad‑based movement aimed at reshaping India’s economic future through self‑reliance.
