Bhubaneswar, Jan 15 :  The Aaradi Dham temple in Odisha is gearing up for Makar Sankranti, a major Hindu festival celebrated on the day of the winter solstice. The temple, which is dedicated to Baba Akhandlamani, is a popular pilgrimage site for Hindus from all over the state.

In preparation for the festival, the temple administration has made special arrangements for the safety and security of devotees. A dedicated security force has been deployed around the temple, and a special queue has been set up for devotees to enter the temple.

The festival will begin on Monday, January 15, with the installation of new maize rice and Podpitha, a traditional Odia sweet dish. The main festival celebrations will take place on Tuesday, January 16. On that day, devotees will gather at the temple to worship Baba Akhandlamani.

In addition to the religious ceremonies, there will also be a fair held at the temple grounds. The fair will feature a variety of stalls selling food, drinks, and souvenirs.

The Aaradi Dham temple is a popular tourist destination, and Makar Sankranti is one of the busiest times of the year for the temple. The temple administration expects to welcome thousands of devotees from all over the world for the festival.
