Koraput, Nov 10: The real picture of the developmental claim of the Odisha government has come to the fore again. 

A patient was carried on a cot for 10 km due to the lack of a motorable road in her village Kadalipadar of Badaput gram panchayat under Boipariguda block. 

What added to the woes of the carriers was that shouldering the cot they had to move on the rough road in torchlight all through the 10-km stretch to reach an ambulance.

According to the information, Bati Khila suddenly fell ill. Though family members called for an ambulance, the latter could not come to her village due to lack of a road. With no option left, family members along with some villagers carried her on a cot till the ambulance, which waited at a place 10 km from her village Kadalipadar. 

The woman was taken to the Boiparicuda hospital.
