Bhubaneswar, Sep 16: In a major boost to early childhood care and development, Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida is set to inaugurate 913 newly constructed Anganwadi centres across the state.
The initiative aims to strengthen the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) infrastructure and improve access to nutrition, health, and pre-school education for children and mothers.
The new centres are spread across all districts, with significant numbers in Balasore (77), Kalahandi (90), Khordha (61), Ganjam (72), and Puri (68). Other districts such as Angul (35), Bargarh (44), Bhadrak (34), and Nayagarh (56) also see substantial additions. Even remote districts like Malkangiri, Rayagada, and Gajapati are included, reflecting the government’s commitment to inclusive development.
