Nuapada, Jan 5: An eight-hour bandh has been called by political party in here today. The protest has begun from 6 am and will continue upto 2pm. 

The party staged a protest demanding a solution to the agricultural and farmers' problem in the district. As an impact of the bandh, shops, government and private offices, banks, schools and colleges and the mandis will be shut down. 

The protestors have demanded a CBI enquiry into the alleged corruption while paddy procurement. Road blockade along with picketing will be done in Khariar, Komna, Boden and Sinapalli.
