Key Points

It is worth mentioning that CM Majhi held the eighth session of public grievance hearing Tuesday at the CM Grievance Cell

Providing an update on the complaints received through grievance hearing, CM Majhi said that a total of 8,031 applications have been received so far since the beginning of the session

Bhubaneswar, Feb 3: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has said that approximately 81 per cent of complaints, which were received at the hearing of public grievances, have been resolved so far.

It is worth mentioning that CM Majhi held the eighth session of public grievance hearing Tuesday at the CM Grievance Cell.

After the end of the session, CM Majhi said that 1,000 applications were registered Tuesday (February 3). “We were being able to address as many as 700 complaints Tuesday and those issues have been forwarded to various departments in a bid to resolve the issues as soon as possible,” stated the Chief Minister.

Providing an update on the complaints received through grievance hearing, CM Majhi said that a total of 8,031 applications have been received so far since the beginning of the session. “Out of which, 6,545 complaints have been resolved,” he informed.

He said that all the complaints are dealt with in consultation with various departments. “About 81% of the complaints have been resolved,” stated the Chief Minister of Odisha.

Financial Assistance Towards A Child’s Medical Care

Speaking about a heart-warming story, CM Majhi shared that a child suffering from a rare disease in Boudh district has been provided an assistance of Rs 5 lakh through the Single Wind System.

“As the child’s family does not have a house. So I have directed the concerned department to provide a house under Awas Yojana,” added CM Majhi.

Notably, the Chief Minister provided assistance of Rs 5 lakh from the Chief Minister's Relief Fund for the treatment of a 7-year-old girl in the grievance cell.

Pratyusa Giri, a 7-year-old girl from Boudh, is suffering from a rare disease ‘Xeroderma pigmentosum’. The most common symptom is hypersensitivity to UV rays, which the girl is suffering from.

Pratyusa’s father has taken her to many places for treatment. Although, they have the BSKY Health Card, but it doesn’t cover the treatment expenses as the disease is not listed in the card.

Last time, Pratyusa’s father had come to the grievance cell, the Chief Minister immediately sent the girl to the hospital. And on Tuesday, CM Majhi has given a financial aid of Rs 5 lakh.

CM’s Appeal To People

The state government is trying to resolve all the complaints within 90 days. The Chief Minister has also appealed to the people to lodge their complaints at district level and not to spend too much by coming to Bhubaneswar.

“Inform your issues and complaints to your respective District Collectors. Don’t spend too much coming to Bhubaneswar and lodge your complaints at the district level,” signed off CM Majhi.
