Argus News - 7th Std Girl Consumes Poison In Ganjam Village

Berhampur, Jan 16: A class seventh girl consumed poison in an upper primary school in Baharanpur Gram Panchayat under Dharakota police station limits in Ganjam district today. 

The student has been identified as Rani Bhuyan. 

According to the sources, Rani was repeatedly vomitting in the classroom today. Noticing this, she was rushed to a Community Health Centre (CHC) in Dharakot. 

Doctors informed that she was vomitting due to consumption of poison. 

However, what circumstances compelled her to take the step is unclear. Whether she was given poison or she herself willingly consumed it is yet to be ascertained.
