Koraput, July 18: In a tragic incident, at least seven cows were killed and two youths sustained severe burn injuries as lightning struck in a village in Odisha’s Koraput district on Friday.
As per reports, the incident took place in Badamguda village under Dashmantpur block in the district when villagers were grazing their cattle in an open field. The lightning strike occurred during a sudden thunderstorm that swept across the region, leaving behind a trail of destruction.
The injured duo, identified as residents of Badamguda village, were promptly rushed to SLN Medical College and Hospital in Koraput, where they are currently undergoing treatment.
