Bhubaneswar, Feb 8: As many as 60 migrant labourers from different districts of Odisha died at their workplaces in other States in the last six years, Labour and ESI Minister Sarada Naik told the State Assembly today.
The Minister also informed the House that as many as 5,440 workers have been rescued following complaints of harassment received by the State government.
As regards the number of migrant workers visiting other States in search of work, the Minister said 81,232 people from different districts of Odisha went to other States in search of work in 2023.
