Bhubaneswar, Feb 4: To provide treatment to patients having critical illnesses, a trauma care center will be set up at Sriram Chandra Bhanj Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack soon.
A 500-bed trauma care center will be set up. It will be set up under the Prime Minister's Swasthya Suraksha Yojana'. A proposal given by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhihas been approved by the Central Government.
The trauma care center will provide prompt health services to patients having accidental injuries and other critical illnesses. The Union government will bear 60 percent of the cost 40 percent will be borne by the State government.

✨According to the information, the Chief Minister had written a letter to Union Health Minister JP Nadda on July 2, 2024, requesting the establishment of a trauma center at the SCB, Cuttack. After the Central government's approval, the State government has initiated the process.
A detailed project report will be prepared to implement the project.
