Bhubaneswar, Dec 29: In a major achievement, the Nayapalli police busted an interstate looters' gang by arresting five persons and seizing ornaments and household articles worth lakhs of rupees today. 

The police conducted a raid and arrested the migrants. They seized 243 pieces of gold ornaments, 439 pieces of silver ornaments, three water pumps, and a water purifier from the miscreants, informed DCP Pratik Singh. 

Talking about their modus operandi, the DCP said the arrested youths used to do scrapper business in the daytime and loot at night. 

While the leader of the gang is a native of West Bengal, others belong to Kendrapara and Jagatsinghpur areas, said Singh.
