According to the informaiton, a group of local youths, acting on a tipoff, intercepted a container carrying cattle on National
Highway-49 near Sigada Chhack under the Pallahar police station limits at around 11 pm. The container had about 40 heads of cattle. The youths broke the lock and brought the cattle outside.

✨Three smugglers, who were traveling in the vehicle, were also nabbed by the youths. Later, the seized cattle-laden container and the youths were handed over to the police.
Meanwhile, locals expressed resentment saying that cattle are being illegally transported on the NH but police are not taking any action.
