Nuapada, Aug 6: A heartbreaking incident has occurred in Boklikhunti village under Boden block of Nuapada district, where a four-year-old boy lost his life after being bitten by a venomous snake.

The deceased has been identified as Debashish Majhi.

According to reports, the incident occurred when the child was palying. After being noticed, he was immediately rushed to the Boden Community Health Center for treatment.

As his condition worsened, the kid was referred to the Khariar Sub-Divisional Hospital. However, he was declared dead upon arrival.

Following the incident, Boden police reached the location around 11 a.m. and registered a case of unnatural death.

An investigation into the circumstances is reportedly underway.

The incident has cast a pall of grief over the village, with local residents mourning the untimely death of the young boy.
