Kendrapara, Feb 8: As many as four houses caught fire as a result of a short-circuit in Dasipur village under Aul block in Kendrapara district last night. 

According to the information, the families of Judhistir Mallick and Ratnakar Mallick were sleeping at night when the fire mishap occurred. 

The four houses, furniture, clothes and other properties were reduced to ashes in the fire. 

The residents have demanded compensation over the loss.
