Koraput, Dec 5: The cyclonic storm 'Michaung' created havoc in Chennai and is likely to make a landfall in the noon in Andhra Pradesh. As an effect heavy downpours have continued in parts of southern Odisha.
Heavy rainfall has been observed in four blocks of Koraput district Lakshmipur, Dasmantpur, Narayanapatna and Bandhugaon. As a result the residents of these districts are stranded.
On the other hand, the heavy rains have become a reason of worry for the farmers. With the harvesting season approaching, the rains may damage the crops fear the farmers.
