Keonjhar, Aug 5: In a tragic mishap, three persons were killed including two students after being hit by a truck near DAV Public School under Joda police station limits in Keonjhar district on Monday morning.

The deceased  have been identified as Krishna Bhusal, his son Nikit Bhusal and Santosh Sharma's son Ganesh Sharma.

According to the reports, Bhusal along with his son Nikit and his friend Ganesh were on their way to school on a bike when a speeding truck hit them from behind and fled the spot. The impact of the collision was so intense that the trio died on the spot.

On being informed, police reached the spot and started an investigation into the matter.

Meanwhile, vehicular movement on the route was disrupted after irate locals staged protest demanding action and adequate compensation.
