Khordha, Feb 2: At least 20 people were injured after a hyva truck allegedly hit a stationary bus from rear side near Gada Khordha Chhak on National Highway 16 in Odisha's Khordha district on Friday. 

According to sources, around 42 people were travelling in the bus from Rayagada to Puri to see Srimandir Parikrama Prakalp (heritage corridor project) in the holy city. 

The injured persons have been admitted to the district headquarters hospital here. 

Though the exact reason behind the accident has not been ascertained yet, it is suspected that dense fog and the resultant reduction of visibility might have caused the mishap, sources said. 

On being informed, local police reached the spot and started an investigation into the matter.
