Sambalpur, Dec 27: In a tragic mishap, two persons were killed as the motorcycle on which they were travelling was hit by an unknown vehicle at ABS Hotel under Rairakhole police station on National Highway-55 this evening. 

The deceased have been identified as Subhendu Sahu and Shyam Sundar Bhitiria of Rairakhole town. 

According to the information, the two were going by a motorcycle when a vehicle hit them and sped up. They were severely injured in the incident. Though locals rushed them to a nearby hospital, doctors there pronounced them dead. 

On being informed, Rairakhole pollice rushed to the spot and started an investigation. 

Death of the two persons has shocked the locals, who have demanded adequate compensaiton for the families of the victims.
