Nuapada, Jan 11: Acting on a tip-off, forest sleuths have busted an illegal tiger skin racket at a lodge under the Khariar forest range in Nuapada district this noon.

According to information, two tiger skins were seized by raiding forest personnel. Seven smugglers were arrested by the forest officials in this regard. 

Six mobile phones have been seized from their possession.

The smugglers were trying to crack a deal to sell off tiger skin in the black market. 

Earlier, the Nuapada was in news for the man-eating tiger who had eaten up a woman, a boy and a cow.
