Bhubaneswar, Feb 6: The 16th Finance Commission will hold a meeting Thursday with the Odisha government, including Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.
The meeting will also be attended by Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja, Finance Secretary Saswata Mishra and other senior officials of the state government.
As per the report, the state government will present the roadmap for the formation of a developed Odisha by 2036 to the Finance Commission.
The state government will also submit a demand letter in the interest of Odisha to the Finance Commission. The state government will reportedly submit a five-year plan to the commission.
The Odisha government has sought Rs 12,56,148 crore from the Finance Commission.
On the same day, the Finance Commission Chairman Dr Arvind Panagariya and the CM Majhi will address a joint press conference.
The 16th Finance Commission team is also scheduled to interact with the representatives of various political parties, elected representatives, elected representatives of Panchayats and Municipalities, members of Trade Unions.
