Bhadrak, Mar 4: More than 15 children were taken ill after consuming a midday meal at Urdu UGME School, Shankarpur under the Bhadrak Municipality this afternoon. 

All the children are undergoing treatment at the Bhadrak District Headquarters Hospital. 

According to the information, the MDM got contaminated as a house lizard was unnoticingly cooked in it. A boiled lizard was found on the plate of a student. By then, some students had already taken the MDM lunch. 

Many of the children who took the meal experienced reeling, vomiting and abdominal pain. School teachers rushed them to the DHH.
