Cuttack, Feb 14: Brown sugar worth Rs 26 lakh was seized by Malgodown police in Cuttak district this morning.

The seller, Prashant Barik of Mangalsahi in Jagatpur was arrested in possession of the 1260 grams of the contraband good.

According to the information, as many as seven cases of dacoity and loot have been registered in his name. 

The DSP in-charge said," He was earlier engaged in other acts of criminal but recently has started selling brown sugar".
